Curly to Straight Hair routine 2020

Hey Curly girls !

Everyday curls CAN Turn into straight hair

I’ve always had a somewhat complicated relationship with my hair. Nevertheless, we’ve worked things out at the end of the day — I love my hair.

Yes ! You can have the best of both worlds . Just a few simple steps and a whole lotta patience, you can get your beautiful main straight.

Curly hair can be easy to style. Natural curls doesn’t require you to wake up early to start your hair routine.

When I was in high school, I spent a countless number of hours in the mirror, constantly watching Youtubers while trying to learn the best method of straightening my hair.

My mom used to straighten it for me, but it was high time I learned how to do this for myself.

After all, I’m the one who will be involved in this hair situation for the rest of my life. I might as well start now.

Here are the items you will need to get your straight hair game under way

  1. Flat iron (SRI Xtreme Health Straightener)
  2. Pantene heat Primer
  3. OGX Renewing Marocco Oil
  4. Denman detailing brush
  5. Blow dryer
  6. Small tooth comb

The Process

First you want to start the straightening process with clean hair. After putting in this much work, you need to keep it like this (straight) for at least 5-7 days, or until your next wash.

After washing and conditioning your hair, blow-drying your hair first is where you should begin

To avoid damaging your hair again and again with a straightener, it’s a good idea to take out the major kinks with a blow dryer before moving onto a Flat iron .

START by using concentrator attachment along with a Denman detailing brush. This will assist in getting the hair as straight a possible.

This process consumes less time and it will save you time later on.

  • Invest in a good blow-dryer with a concentrator attachment.  Paired with a paddle brush  or will make your life much easier.
  • Lift a small section of your hair with your brush from the underside and apply heat from above, sandwiching the hair between the two tools.
  • Move them down the length of your hair slowly with the hair inside of the brush bristles and watch the kinks disappear.
  • Repeat this process to remove most of the frizz and curl from your hair before you start straightening.

Special Note:

It’s a good idea to allow your hair to air-dry so you’re not using unnecessary extra heat.

Tip to get rid of small stand up flyaway hair strands

For at-home straightening I read somewhere that you can use an aerosol hairspray and a pair of panty hose ton straighten flyaways!

Spray the hairspray on the hair and then stretch the pantyhose and press them on the area to lay those stubborn hairs down.

Closing

There you have it. The process I use to straighten my curly mane.

There are so many hair styles you can make with straight hair. Utilize the straight hair while you have it. Something as simple as a bun looks so different straight than it does curly.
