How to spot a FAKE and TOXIC friend

Hey Luva’s, hope you all have been doing well. I’m posting a different kind of video, it’s TRUE but funny.

All of us have encountered fake friends once in a while, right? Of course you have. We are all pretty much the same, but different lives.

I’m being so real and so transparent here. I’m not a huge rambler so this one should get you good.

Let’s click on the video and see just how I’m handling out life lessons today, Ohhhhkkkkuurrrr.

How to Slay Baby Hair Edges

Hey Luva’s, Yes sister curly girls – – we love to swoop and lay our baby hair edges don’t we? Yes, we do.

Whether you are Black, Hispanic, Mixed, or otherwise, we ALL love a little baby hair action. It’s super funny how we live in the circle of life. Our parents slayed their baby hairs back in the day and now we are doing the exact same thing, but probably with different or similar hair products.

The Queen Bey is quick to show us that she enjoys a little, “swoop and loop,” action as well.

If you are into the “baby hair” thing then you will enjoy our post.

Let’s SLAY Curly Girls

1. Style your hair
The first step in learning how to get the best out of your baby hair regime is to begin with styling your hair in the style of the day. The style that would accentuate your baby hairs will be the styles with your hair pulled away from your face.

Styles such as:

  • Low or high bun
  • Half up half down
  • Pulled back with a headband

2. Choose your favorite hair
Everybody prefers different types of gel. I have my preference, as you will see in the video below. See my favorite gel by clicking here.

3. The perfect baby hair tools
Due to the fact that baby hairs are so very fine pieces of hair, you should use a brush that will allow you control over your edges. I recommend using a toothbrush and a regular hair brush for the process.

4. Don’t over use the gel
Be sure not to go crazy using the hair gel. Only use just the right amount to cover your edges. If you accidentally use too much, it may take too long to dry. Next, follow the technique in the video to get the best results. Don’t get frustrated if you don’t get the right swoop.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

5. Don’t forget a very important step
Get a silk scarf and wrap your edges until the gel dries. This last step is an important step to finalizing the process. You will be happy you did !

How to Save Your Curls Overnight

Hey Luv’s

I’ve missed you guys as usual. I’ve been so busy graduating from high school and getting on with my new life. I hope you guys are having a wonderful life as well.

Please look at my video below to find out how to save your curls overnight and when you wake up in the morning, your hair will be ready to go.

5 Reasons You Must Invest in a Satin Bonnet

Do you want to wake up in the morning with the perfect hair? In order to be FREE of tangles and dryness, you will have to forgo the not so cuteness of “The Bonnet” Once you discover how tame your hair will be by sleeping on satin, you will jump on the satin cap bandwagon.

1. Healthier Hair

NO MORE SPLIT ENDS will be the result of sleeping with a satin cap. It will help protect your hair from the dryness caused by friction that can be caused by sleeping on a cotton pillow case. Wearing a cap helps reduce breakage, hair thinning, and tangles too.

2. Hydrated Hair

Sleeping on a cotton pillowcase is known to cause dryness. The Satin cap will help keep the hydration in your hair. Say YES to hair hydration.

3. Better Looking Hair

A satin cap will help keep the shape of your curls without causing more kinks and bumps. It also keeps the frizz down to a minimum.

4. No More Headaches

By wearing a satin cap, you don’t have to worry about always keeping your hair in a tight slicked down ponytail. The satin ca will help your hair stay in place.

5. Ready to Go Hair

Sleeping on satin can assist in retaining your intended hair style. No more waking up early so you’ll have time to process and prepare your hair. Simply do the work the night before, put on your satin cap and get some extra snooze time. I know I do zzzzzzzzzzz.

Flexi Rod Hair Set

Hi Curly Girls,

Have you ever heard the old cliché “the grass is greener on the other side?”  Yep, girls with straight tend to be quite very into the girls with natural curls.  Some of the compliments I receive are actually from girls with naturally curly hair.   Most of them use blow dryers and flat irons because they may be completely over the NOT so tamed curl thing that the best alternative is to just straighten it.

When I receive compliments about my hair, questions usually follow in regards to  styling tips.  So, I’m almost led to believe that they really like their curly hair, but they are just not sure how deal, with it.  Trust me, I know first hand.    So, Curly girls should keep an open mind when receiving compliments from non-curly girls because you never know what hair type they were born with and if they have learned how to master the curl.

Learn to Master the Curl (TWEET THIS)

Today we are going to learn how to do a hair in Diane Twist-Flex Rods, Purple, 7/8″set.   I will show you and explain step by step what I do to get my curls so loose and bouncy.  I know we already have lots of curls, but sometimes your curls can seem a little unmanageable and you can tame them by using Flexi Rods.  Twist-Flex Rods helps give you loose and bouncy curls, whether your hair is straight or curly.  The Twist-Flex Rods should work with all hair types.  If your hair isn’t really curly and it’s straight you can probably try to add some mousse or another agent that will make the curls last a little longer.  Oh yeah, I just thought about a suggestion — you can spray your hair with a little hair spritzer or hair spray when it’s dry to help the curls stay a little bit longer.

How I cleared my skin

Just when your appearance seems to be one of the most important attributes of your body— acne begins.  Although some teens seem unfazed by acne, others can be deeply affected.

For most teenagers; however, this especially visible skin problem can be upsetting.  To me, I tried to block it out of my head.  Yes, I saw it there, but I tried to NOT see it there.  Does that make sense?

This was a crucial time in my life.  On top of school, drama, life, etc – – here comes acne to ruin my life AGAIN !

Click the video below to find out the steps I took to help clear up my skin.  It didn’t happen overnight, but eventually, my skin got back to normal.

Hair Cut by Ulta

Hey Curly Girls,

This month I got a professional hair cut at the local Ulta Store.  I haven’t had a good trim since I worked on the set of  Wen Hair Products for Chaz Dean in Los Angeles.  So, I’m guessing it’s past my time.

Wen by Chaz Dean

Wish I would have taken a photo of the before and after shots after the stylist styled my hair.  I had big hair,  but it’s cool because no one styles my hair like me. LOL

The stylist did a really good job on the trim and I asked her to add slight cut off the top on one side of my hair.

As you can see from the photo (in red), my hair is slightly shorter on the top and then layered back to my natural curly curls.

Ulta Cost of the Signature Hair cut, shampoo and style was only $37

Products used: Diva Curl, Redkin,

The photo with the bulls shirt on is a photo where I styled my hair, but it shows my hair cut.

It feels so much better to have those ends trimmed and manicured
